This new program will help boost our community by recommending places and professionals that parents can choose with confidence, as well as provide exposure for the family-friendly services and businesses that are the most help in our community.
This Month we're voting on our favorite Pediatric Care! Any Pediatrician or Family Practitioner in the DMV area is eligible. To vote, leave a comment below with your pediatrician's information and why you think they should be our local favorite.
At the end of two weeks accepting votes and nominations, that is, at midnight on June 15th, we'll close voting and award both one lucky voter, chosen at random, to recieve $5 off their next greenberries purchase, and the entity with the most votes will hold their title for the year, until next June, when votes for best pediatric care are open again. We'll present them with a certificate, an opportunity to accept a video interview for our youtube account, and listing as our featured pediatric care provider this year. So make your voices heard, and share this with your friends! We want to know, who's your favorite pediatric care provider and why?
I love Dr. Michael Lasser and his staff. Dr. Lasser is knowledgeable and easy to work with. He is available after hours and has even called my house late when I have had a sick child. His office staff are incredibly helpful while we are there, and always get us in when we need to be seen
ReplyDeleteWe love our pediatrician, Dr. Zaneb Beams ( http://drbeams.com/ ). She is very approachable, knowlegeable, and level headed. She's easy to contact and very good with her patients, treating kids like real people, taking time to get to know them and connect with them, building a true relationship.
ReplyDeleteWe love Dr. Chatterjee and Mrs. Thistle. They are always very responsive and truly care about the kids they serve.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy with our pediatrician Dr. Zaneb Beams, she is so thorough and responsive. She always makes my child feel welcome and she seems to really care about his health.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Dr Zaneb Beams! She came to our house at 11pm when Caleb was only a few hours old to check on him and we've been with her since then (he's 3 1/2). We've also recommended lots of friends to her- we all love her. She never seems like she's rushing and is always really informative. The kids love her and we do too!
ReplyDeleteWe use Dr. Khurana. She's wonderful! We've also used Kinder Mender for off-hours care and they are THE best pediatic care center for drop ins!!
ReplyDeleteWe use Dr. Duniya Lancaster in Ellicott City. We found her at the pediatric center in Catonsville when my now 10yr old son was 2. We didn't like the care we were receiving at his original Ped's office so we went there. A short time after we started seeing her at the Pediatric Center, she left & started her own office; we of course followed her & have been using her ever since. We now have our 10yr old boy & a 21 month old & 9 month old (both girls) & I wouldn't go anywhere else! It's a small office; just her, her nurse & her receptionist & they are all fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI can call her after hours if needed, she's dealt with me & my mommy meltdown when my 9month old was an infant & sick, she recommends only the best specialists in the area (and sometimes calls them in advance to let them know we will be calling them), I never have to wait when I get to her office, & I am never made to feel like I am a bother or a hassle to them.
I ramble, but she's great & I love the small office. It makes me feel like my kids matter to her & aren't just a number or a chart. :-)
Dr. Alice Tsai is my 19-month-old son's pediatrician, and we love her!!! She is knowledgeable, sweet, and gentle with my son. She also genuinely seems to love children and enjoy what she does. When my son was having various health issues, she called me after hours on multiple occasions to give me updates on his lab reports and/or advice about how to care for him. I appreciate how she asks for my opinion about any treatment options and tells me her recommendation but doesn't pressure me in any one direction. I completely trust her with my son's health!
ReplyDeleteDr. Zaneb Beams in Columbia is amazing! She makes herself available to her patients (well, to their parents, really), is respectful of different parenting styles and values, and really takes the time to talk and listen to both her patients and their parents. I've seen a few pediatricians over the last 3 years, and she is, without a doubt, the best!

ReplyDeleteDr Heather Alexander at Klebanow and Assoc. She clearly loves what she does and loves kids. She explains everything simply but clearly. She is very reassuring with even the strangest questions. And I truly appreciate that she has a real world not textbook approach to raising children.
ReplyDeleteDr. Aruna Khurana is a wonderful pediatrician! She is so extremely patient and offers good advice in a non-alarmist fashion. She is openminded and so courteous and lovely with the children. Best of all, she will return your calls personally and take the time to really help you out. Lastly, her office staff clearly knows what they are doing and are always organized and professional (something that cannot always be said for another 'favorite' in town unfortunately).

ReplyDeletei dont think you can find a bad pedi at Klebanow and Assoc. we love dr anthony but have also seen dr chatterjee and mrs thistle and mrs bird as well. and even when we cant see dr anthony and we see someone else its nice to know that they are all friendly and take time. they are also open 364 days a year which is also great.
