Guest Blog Post: Valentine’s Day Link Party!

For me, there’s just something about Valentine’s Day that makes me really look forward to it every year.  The stress of the holiday season is behind us.  It’s finally hit me that we’re in the middle of the winter –it’s cold, the days are short, everything is brown, and there’s nothing to distract me from these facts.

Enter Valentine’s Day.  Now, don’t get me wrong.  It’s not the expensive dining and gifts that we can sometimes feel pressured to take part in this time of year that I love so much.  Rather, it’s the sweet traditions my hubby and I have established with our family, as well as between the two of us, that I look forward to so much.  The same is probably true for you as well.

It’s the punch of red and pink in the middle of the cold and drab winter.  It’s the puffy heart and white doily crafts lovingly made by our little ones.  It’s the sweet sentiments and gestures  - taking the time to tell or show someone you love and care for them.  It’s the chocolate.  Let me repeat.  It’s the chocolate!

I’ve put together a list of some of the crafts, recipes, and ideas that are inspiring me this Valentine’s Day.  Maybe some or all of them will do the same for you.

  1. Get your fantasies stirred up in advance of Valentines Day. The authors of the best-selling book CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE celebrate the first anniversary of the book's release by giving fans a FREE E-BOOK version during a 1-day promotion on Valentines Day February 14, 2014, beginning at 12:01 am. Simply visit Amazon's Kindle site and download the Kindle edition of the book to any device. You can't help falling in love with the unforgettable Allison Webster romance that also sizzles through authors Carol Dunitz' and David Menefee's continuation, COME AWAY TO PARADISE.

What do a hit song, a hep singer, and a hot fried peanut butter and banana sandwich have in common? For stunningly attractive Allison Webster, struggling to make a name in the glitzy advertising world, they spell infatuation and desire. They are the first notes in the love song she hears when she can’t help falling in love with her King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. When the Memphis Mafia rudely invades her affair with the most eligible bachelor in the country, no one can tell which way the records will spin. Singer, songwriter, actor, and author Carol Dunitz and Pulitzer-nominated author David W. Menefee lay down the tracks in this unforgettable romance that's topping the charts as the year’s most musical love story.
